Works flawlessly in the current version of Ubuntu. Warns about a missing file at the ends of the installation but it works great.
It looks like this installer can't handle spaces in folder names. For example you could install to ~/games/dwarffortress/ but not to ~/My Games/dwarffortress
Installed fine on Ubuntu 10.4, but there are run-time problems:
hack won't start at all; it gives an immediate segfault.
df works OK, but occasionally segfaults.
DT hasn't shown any problems so far.
Haven't tried stonesense.
Here's what happens if I run hack:
./dfhack -g
***snip licensing stuff***

(gdb) run

I made stonesense start up in dfhack by default. You can remove the dfhack.init file to start up without it.
I'm not using any special build of dfhack, I just coppied it to dffd because mojosetup can't yet download from github's https server. You could try building it yourself from
here or you may have better luck just updating to a newer version of ubuntu.
Thank you very much for this! I was having a real headache getting Dwarf Therapist to compile and launch in Ubuntu 12.04, but this installed everything without any issues. All runs perfectly. A great help for a Linux noob like myself.
Having a small issue. I am using the newest version of Ubuntu and just used this to install DF and DT. DF works perfectly but DT says that there is no fortress loaded when I am looking at my fortress being dugout. What am I doing wrong? I click connect to DF and then Read Dwarves and then get the error.
