This is the coolest thing ever. I applaud you, good sir.
I registered on this site for the sole reason of praising this utility. I love legends mode, and the only way i can explore them is through this tool. Bravo sir.
I love it! DIE WORLD VIEWER DIE!
A tool every DF player should have
Interface is kinda cluttered and really not very easy to read. It has a few features that the alternative, world viewer (
https://dffd.bay12games.com/file.php?id=2637), is missing but not enough to get over the bad layout of information.

This is basically amazing, and frankly should be considered essential for anyone playing DF, who wants to know a little bit about the world that your CPU went to so much trouble to build for you, in painstaking detail. And sometimes it's just nice to be able to reference it when you want to know more about your world.
Will this ever be available for linux?
Hello,
i've found fixes for this but i dont understand them at all and i'm guessing i do the process all wrong.
legend viewer works fine when i just generate the world, but when i play fortress mode on it a bit and try to load the legend viewer ...
(after abandoning the fort, and starting legends while exporting the required steps)
... and it always gives me the "unhandled exception has occurred in your application" error
"object reference doesn't comply(something like that) with object"
something about the work order?
anyways,
i can't seem to fix it, if you can help that would be awesome, i feel like an idiot for being the only 1 who can't figure this out.
I keep having issues too, mainly with the error that the XML needs to be repaired and it overwrites the XML then it gives an error saying it can't access the file because its being used by another process...
