This latest version doesn't seem to work; it can read the memory but doesn't show any dwarves at all; no trouble with the previous version.

Legends viewer has a terrible interface in comparison to this with only a few features that aren't in world viewer.
Are you kidding? Legends Viewer has a better interface and more features, and doesn't crash on a windows 7 x64 system. And it is still being updated.
This is basically amazing, and frankly should be considered essential for anyone playing DF, who wants to know a little bit about the world that your CPU went to so much trouble to build for you, in painstaking detail. And sometimes it's just nice to be able to reference it when you want to know more about your world.
