Description
A fairly simple spreadsheet that shows "natural talents" of dwarves toward different skills.

Purpose:
Allows to see at a glance which skills to give which dwarf on embark (or train), where cross-training is in order, etc.

The spreadsheet takes attribute levels as written in description on "Thoughts and preferences" screen, and does not use the correct formula or weights, since those are unknown - as such, it can give only a very rough estimation of bonuses and maluses. Still, a rough estimation is better than nothing.

Usage:
  1. Go to "Dorfs" page (#1)
  2. Select your dwarf's lines of description.
It's a good idea to also enter their names now, because in the unit list your dwarves may appear in different order according to the category profession or position - your miner will be first even if he was #7 on embark!
  3. Switch to "Dorf_Talents_Summary" page (#2).
If your spreadsheet application isn't set to refresh automatically, press "recalculate".
  4. Done! You should see something like "+3 : 0" or "0 : -1" for every skill for each dwarf (scroll right it if you use that much).
Now you may as well save a copy with your game's values to refer and adjust later.

Physical attributes are in the first group, mental in the second, like on screen. All sorted alphabetically, because the order in game varies anyway. Mental traits are listed, but not implemented yet. Same for skills not covered in the source article (marked with purple), so they are all shown as "0:0" for now.

Source of skills/attributes relations: "Attribute" article on dwarffortresswiki.
Example values are taken from Quick Start Embark, so that you may see how it works before clearing the cells for your own values.

Are you aware of the "Roles" screen in Dwarf Therapist? It does exactly that AFAIU. I had created a file with the same purpose before. In ODS too :)

DT's main problem is that it's version-dependent. And it won't show history without loading a backed up save in DF, while spreadsheets allow to load, look up and try "what-if" changes at will. Also, the format with both bonuses and maluses is handy for wide variety of things, like choice of cross-training.
Besides, DF is about self-picked challenges more than most games, and a player may consider usage of internal data not normally displayed "cheating". :-D

Well, yeah, the idea is obvious. I just did it because there wasn't any here.
