Ever wanted to tame all those beasties you come across in the underworld (for some godawful reason), but been stymied by their inability to reproduce or be tamed? Or perhaps you're getting sick of your fort being filled with piles upon piles of boring old leather?

This mod aims to solve both those problems, by enabling taming and breeding of almost every non-sentient creature in the game (and several sentient ones, should you happen to permit your dwarves to butcher sentients and the like), as well as making scaled, feathered or chitinous creatures give the materials they should (as was done, once upon a time, with Lofn's Tanning Mod which has not seen an update since roughly 2010).

In addition, several new creatures have been added - currently, three giant variations of existing creatures (Giant Cave Crocodile, Giant Unicorn, Giant Fox Squirrel) and two new megabeasts (the Wurm and the fearsome Sky Dragon) - and several changes to existing creatures have been made, such as removing all GRAZER tags so you can breed such things as elk birds and elephants without them starving to death halfway through, and making several creatures such as the Hydra and Giant Cave Spider reproduce through eggs, as they logically would. Also kobolds are scaly now.

Finally, dragons, cave dragons, wurms, sky dragons and hydras now have dragonscale instead of regular scales - three times as tough, and heals twice as fast while it's attached to the buggers, but if you can get it off it's worth two and a half times normal scales, while also still being three times as protective - and fireproof to boot! Would your King not look like an absolute badass upon his adamantine throne in a cloak of dragon scales?

To install, just unzip the folder and dump the contents into your raw/objects folder, overwriting everything it asks you to. As with 99.999% of mods, this will require a new world.
