These are just simple world generation scripts and matching embark files which will simplify the life of a new player significantly.

To use:

1. Unzip the folders into the Dwarf fortress folder overwriting the 2 files that it will ask if you wish to.

2. Start dwarf fortress and select design new world with advanced parameters

3. Generate a new world using the "Simple fortress" template.

4. Choose an embark site and use the "Simple Fortress" profile. It will have every thing a new fortress needs for several years. so even if you just let the game play it would likely be alright.

5. Learn how Dwarf fortress works without the demanding pressures of getting everything working in the first year. You may also try all the industries as you have the raw materials to fuel them all for a while.
