This is an annotated announcements.txt file with my own changes made. Most notably, migrant waves and strange moods will create popup boxes. Many mundane announcements have been silenced completely to make the announcement bubbles less cluttered and thus less tempting to ignore. For example, citizens switching between military and civilian profession, and the creation of masterworks (not artifacts), will no longer create any bubbles. Some events will now create alerts because of the interest most players have in them or for their potential to have extreme consequences, such as cave-ins.

To install this file, first back up the existing file at %Dwarf Fortress%/data/init/announcements.txt. Then copy this file into the same folder and rename it to announcements.txt. If Dwarf Fortress is open, you probably need to close and re-open it.

I don't know what all of the announcement tokens do. The final section is quite long for that reason and there may be wrongly categorized tokens as well. Please let me know if there are better ways to sort these tokens!
