Description
Creeper Cavern
In which you can explode and die

This mod adds critters from Minecraft and the playable race is now creepers, who explode on death, mature quicker, lack arms and have four legs (the front ones can hold things). Read on for features and changes! (Note: You're downloading a full game, .exe and slightly custom graphics included.)

Version 0.3
This version is the one I made for Caverncrept, our succession game. It really got the party started with all of this awesome stuff:
Creatures
  • Slimes are now all fixed and they don't melt at room temperature anymore!
  • Enderdragons avoid traps and breathe fire!
  • Testificates form civilizations and have large heads!
  • Ops replace kobolds in name only!
  • Pigmen haunt the upper caverns and form tribes!
Plants
  • Pretty roses give red dye!
  • Fluffy dandelions give yellow dye!
  • Sugarcane can be milled into more valuable cane sugar and cane syrup!
  • Pumpkins provide some variety and have edible leaves!
  • Melons' value has been slightly lowered!
Trap Components
  • This is actually from 0.1 but I forgot to mention it - crushing pistons! They can be made of wood or metal and do indeed crush things!
Workshops
  • The Diamond Refinery allows you to turn shiny gems into useful metals!
Materials
  • Refined diamond can be made only from diamonds and is worth twice as much as platinum or aluminum! Migrants may bring bolts or crossbows made of it in which case you are a very lucky overseer. It holds a great edge too! It sublimates at high temperatures.
  • Refined gemstone is less of a incredible material, but it's still a decent way to use up your shiny crystals and is a little more effective than bronze.
Have fun! It ALSO comes with cool bonus tilesets:
  • The standard slightly-graphicy set from last release!
  • My hand-drawn 6x6 and 16x16 sets, edited to include creepers (well, the 6x6 isn't edited because it's tiny)!
  • A slightly modified Jolly Bastion set!
You'll have to configure them yourself but they look great!

Version 0.2.1
This version fixed a couple graphics errors and made watermelons less prevalent. So, now doors look nice and bogeymen/night creatures display fully (I had mis-aligned their graphics so there was a tiny bit of spillover into the next tile over).

Version 0.2
This version worked out the earlier kinks and added plenty of cool stuff.
Mobs
  • An entire family of slime sizes mostly found in caverns, including tiny (livestock + edible), normal (initially wild but trainable, intelligent), giant (wild and dangerous, also intelligent) and a secret. The secret needs testing but it should be fun. All slimes are highly resistant (e.g. perfect for live training, think mobile giant sponge) to blunt force but their chewy centers will pop out fairly readily after slashing or piercing, and they melt when on fire. Except the lava cubes.
  • Chronoslimes, for use in creature logic - they move one space every 10 ticks and path to/open doors and never die of old age
  • Lava cubes, they're just flaming slimes... flaming slimes that can learn skills and have no attribute rust. Also fire. >:)
  • Ghasts, flying jellyfish that shoot fire. The fire has the same effect as a creeper explosion (carries a blisters + bleeding syndrome). >:) x2
  • Mooshrooms, boring livestock cows with mushrooms growing on their back. If you milk them you get stew which is renamed milk.
  • Zombies. They're a fairly benign race although they're quite weak.
  • Miners. They're basically your average Minecraft player: LOOT AND PILLAGE! RIP AND TEAR! Hopefully they'll siege you. Further testing is required. They also have a rare "griefer" caste that destroys buildings
Plants
This is all stuff from the last release that works properly now.
  • Watermelons! They look like little os on the map, and have a high value (7!! suck it, sun berries) but little yield. They can be brewed into melon spirits (yes, creepers are dependent on alcohol too.)
  • Brown variety mushrooms. I think I named them after a trip to the grocery store. They're worth very little and can't be brewed but they grow quick and can be eaten raw. They look like ±.
  • Red variety mushrooms. Yes, these are the same ones found in Minecraft. These ones are also unbrewable, but they're worth quite a bit and grow slowly. They can also be eaten raw. They look like red thread on the ground.
Other stuff
Some tiles are now graphics! Now it's easy to tell if levers are turned on or off, Ñ(ight creatures) are little ghosts, bedroom furniture is graphical & HFS now looks either more evil or much more harmless (It's not more harmless, it's wholly unedited). Download to find out for yourself!

Version 1.0 0.1
The unprofessional version that I made just to see if I could. Good news: I did! This version, if I remember correctly, didn't have many new things other than some plants (red + brown mushrooms, melons) and you could play as creepers. It also has two inorganic materials with the same name, causing fun bugs like getting frozen thrall clouds as a geological layer.
