Year 5 of the fort's operations has just finished.

Notable events:

• This year's sacrifice was Ablel Kalurlolok, Axedwarf. The method of sacrifice was single combat with a captured cyclops. The arena she fought in will remain untouched, a monument to her sacrifice.
• A proper kitchen and pantry was built, just above the dining room.
• Four dwarves died in a goblin ambush. Two sacrifices from previous years expired from lingering infections.
• The fort was elevated from a barony to a county.
• Two artifacts were made, a hatch cover and a bag. One dwarf failed to create his artifact, became melancholy, and later died of thirst.
• Construction began on a prison, across from the new kitchen/pantry.
