If you scroll to the right over the sea to the evil biome you'll see a small non-evil temperate shrubland called The Hale Hill of Yearling. It has shallow metals which are gobs of magnetite and tetrahedrite. You'll have to go to the border of the biome for flux but several have it and you can get evil and/or savage terrain in the embark that way if you so desire.
