This savegame is one year into my reclaim of the infamous fortress Battlefailed. At this point I have sealed off the aquifer breach, drained Upper Battlefailed, and have begun settling in there. The surface world remains walled off and Lower Battlefailed, while accessible, has been left untouched. Many rooms down there are still flooded and the place is a mess, but most of the immediate threats have been dealt with and it should be possible to continue reclaiming in relative comfort from this point.

Note that Battlefailed is heavily contaminated with various Forgotten Beast extracts. Any action that may cause a dwarf to remove his shoes (such as trying to get him to put on armor) must be done with extreme care.
