==Eight civilisations==

Elcari
The familiar dwarves from vanilla, with some small modifications.

Múrtani
A sub-race of elcari, known for their insatiable appetite for bullying - and by bullying I mean slavery, torture, and murder. They use bronze weapons and enjoy attacking and beseiging your fortress, not to mention abducting your children.

Humans
Another familiar race. These are slightly more civilised than vanilla humans.

Flaids
Friendly humanoids, only ever found in one civilisation. They are similar to humans but bring more interesting trade goods.

Icëlani
Small humanoids that live in forests. They're not very bright or agressive, but they are quite curious and they love shiny objects... your shiny objects, that is.

Iliî
Very intelligent and peaceful sea-dwelling humanoids. They are skilled craftsmen and good fighters.

Ktuvoks
Reptilian predators that live in swamps. Though they don't much like fighting, they have the means to make effective weapons - including steel - and they're over twice the height of an elcar. They also have quite a penchant for enslaving other races...

Rifters
Big cats that live in the forests. They only ever have one civilisation, but they're agressive and breed quickly, and if left unchecked can be a serious hazard. Like icëlani, they enjoy stealing your trinkets.
