TestFortress is a huge rocky mountainside with a (friendly!) goblin tower, a brook, some magma and a bunch of skill-less peasants and kittens frolicking pointlessly by the water.

To use, set your DF window to 150x75, load the save and hit F1 to zoom to the wagon, cats and frolickers. Wait a minute or so and then take the FPS reading. Then, to ensure subsequent readings are compatible, kill DF without saving, so that future tests see the exact same minute of save-scummed peasant frolickery.
