It just rolled over for year 8, the game plays normally for a few seconds and then the whole application freezes for a few seconds before resuming again. I played for a few in game months but this has been happening for a few seasons.

It's the first time I've had this happen so far in the time I've played dwarf fortress. I've had fortresses with 250 dwarves that didn't even hiccup, the multithreading is very effective.

This is played on the Linux Beta Client, so maybe that might have something to do with it?
