this brand new embark has absolutely terrible lag for a brand new fort
after embarking and marking out some basic initial digs, on unpausing the game frame rate dove to 4 fps, froze for several seconds, then crawled back up to around 12 fps

a 60 second vTune profile showed 28.3% of CPU in 0x140cc6460 and 8.3% of CPU in 0x14107ff40, both of which are clearly related to pathfinding
