Autochop ceased designating new trees in the chop zone, and instead began outputting multiple warning messages to the log:

"autochop is_valid_item actually caught something useful!! Please tell the DFHack team."

Unsure how long this had been going on for, as I wasn't watching the console window for several hours, and the messages are not timestamped.
