Description
A new chapter of dwarven history begins here at this place, Raltashem, "Silverypull".

Silverypull sits where the Beloved Steppe meets the Jungle of Luck - a beautiful forest that gives way from the strange feathery grasses of the steppe to the greener hues of the more wild jungle. We have heard tales of vast riches here, just below the ground, and we shall seek to pursue that claim.

16 Granite - Almost immediately we strike hematite, a good sign for our fledgling fort

17 Granite - Bituminous Coal as well! Smashing. Work begins on farms and a basic caravan path to a protected trade depot.

2 Felsite - Work begins on bedrooms and workshops indoors. Alath furaxes has been assigned the roles of manager, broker, and bookkeeper. Now all he needs is a table and chair.

1 Hematite - Summer has arrived and all is going well. The farms are being sown with plump helmets, beds have been made, mining is going well. Soon we will begin cutting some basic crafts to trade in the fall.

4 Hematite - Thief! what is this kobold stealing... Nothing! The wagon is surrounded by a wild pack of family dogs.

5 Hematite - Holy crap it's a Rhinoceros. The dogs are chasing a Rhinoceros.

9 Malachite - MIGRANTS! Thank Armok. 7 more warm bodies brings us up to 14 Dwarves!

9 Galena - One of the migrants was a worthless peasant so I told him to farm plump helmets and train war dogs. Of course now this means he's constantly followed by a pack of war dogs, so clearly I should make a military man out of him.

1 Limestone - Autumn has arrived and I have yet to begin making stonecrafts. The alcohol industry, at the very least, is well under way, and work has begun on refining coal coke. With the flux, iron, and coal available we should be able to make steel equipment before too long. Hopefully it is soon enough.

11 Limestone - No outpost liaison? How curious... A caravan has arrived though. Maybe we'll trade some wheelbarrows for the sake of establishing trade.

15 Limestone - Cog has begun churning out masterpiece barrels. Good for you Cog! Show those elvish bastards what we do to wood around here. We fill it with alcohol! Also the dogs are all giving birth. I count 4 puppies so far. 6 puppies. 11 puppies.

4 Sandstone - Made some stepladders and traded them for meat and leather as well as some variations of alcohol that we're not currently brewing (Right now we're just churning out dwarven wine).

17 Sandstone - The merchants have left and more migrants have arrived! Exactly 7 more brings us up to 21.

5 Timber - The miller, Mafol Oslanuz, has been taken by a fey mood! Predictably he claims a craftsdwarf's workshop. At least we'll have some nice trade goods next year! He grabs some logs and some cut morions. I guess he'll be a legendary woodcrafter.

8 Timber - The Weretapir Zom Matokus Todroz has come! A large tapir twisted into humanoid form. It is crazed for blood and flesh. Its eyes glow aqua. Its charcoal hair is very curly. Now we will know why we fear the night. It has bitten a few people but it is not clear that any have survived. Even the dwarf I named after myself has died.

11 Timber - As he returned to his goblin form, Zom quickly ran off before he could be slain. Twelve dwarves lay dead. We struggle to recover as winter draws near. Smithing goes on in earnest. We have remaining two miners, a carpenter, an armourer, a furnace operator, a brewer, a miller, a mason, and a wood cutter. Enough to go on.

13 Timber - The Miller has finished his wooden cup and is now a legendary woodcrafter. Spraycradles is a candlenut cup encrusted with marquise cut morions and decorated with candlenut. It has no depictions whatsoever.

1 Moonstone - Winter has arrived and the fortress is quiet. Nine dwarves remain, toiling day and night over the furnaces to ready themselves for whatever comes next year. Hopefully armour and weapons can be made in time.

7 Moonstone - We begin to bury our dead but we must be careful for a pack of Unicorns stalks the southland.

10 Moonstone - Construction of the 12 coffins for the fallen has been completed. Almost as an afterthought I order the construction of 9 more.

24 Moonstone - It is good to laugh when times are hard. The living have claimed the empty coffins as their tombs, ready and waiting for their still-warm flesh those cold stone coffins wait just across the hallway from the beds they sleep in now. As for our dead, they are buried, and the unicorns have left us alone.

14 Obsidian - Today we forged a Steel Battle Axe. If all else should fail at least we can pride ourselves on achieving this.

28 Obsidian - It is the New Years Eve and at last I must relinquish oversight of this fortress. I pray that the Spring brings only good tidings and new faces but even if it does not, I have made weapons and armour enough that one dwarf might stand resolute.
