can someone tell me how to disable aquifers from the masterworks menu?
There is a button called "Aquifers" in the Settings tab. Open the MasterworkDwarfFortress.exe, click on the Settings tab, and you'll see it. After that you need to gen a new world.
I downloaded the latest masterwork and tried to launch the .exe but it just instantly comes up with 'Masterwork Dwarf Fortress has stopped working.'

Specs: Windows 7, service pack 1, 64 bit.
I have framework up to date, ran it in admin and made sure it wasn't being blocked by anything and I used both rar and 7zip to unpack, I also tried downloading from chrome and IE to try and see if it worked.... yet I found myself crawling over the forums looking to answers for this type of thing but there's nothing.
Strange, masterworkDF V4d.7 works with the settings .exe but any version higher than that with Masterwork .exe just crashes....
Would be grateful for help, Thanks.

Hey, Meph. How do I set the graphics to the default color scheme and ASCII graphics? I've played with it the most and have gotten used to it.
Did it to me as well mate, resize the window boarder of the game and it should sort things out. If that works then put it into the setting to start up in that size.
Let me know if that helped.

I am having this same issue. I tried resizing the game window and it did not change this. Any ideas?

Have you tried changing the graphics pack then resize?

I was able to fix this by enabling the LAA utility so it could allocate more than the stock amount of RAM. I have had no issues since I have done this.
I have the same issue. Tried everything said above and nothing. Not sure if using Laa the right way, but i did it on both, masterwork and dw application. Changing print to 2D fixes the problem but it doesn't look good and it may not be using the tileset. Any help?
I've got a problem, I've successfully generated a world that fits my needs, but i can't play at all with text will be text enabled. If I use anything other than 2d or standard, the game crashes on embark load up due to gpu error. DF Hack says it cant find the tileset id (or the campfire work shop override) and since the 2d and standard texts are completely impossible for me read, I can't use any ingame text. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I recently picked this back up, but it has been giving me some grief: every time I try to generate a new world in the latest version (via the advanced gen), it crashes around midway through generation.
I've ran LAA on the executable, I've got a pretty swell computer that usually excels in just about every area. Any tips?
Edit:
Perhaps the issue is one of the weapons mods? I had them all enabled, but after removing them, generation goes fine. Hm.

yeah, i had some issues when i wanted to generate a lot of civs/semibeast/megabest and caves (really, a lot) , LAA will not help you at this point, probably at all. Most Crashes are, in my experience, related to this memory management, so mind what you are generating. I managed to create dense - populated small worlds though.
Please mind that there are a lot of "bugs" like visitor Jotun randomly killing your dwarfes, problems with subsurface wood, dwarfs getting stuck because someone stolen their ladder, or just kind of insignificance in the world ( i had no siege/attack/etc for at least 8 years, so prepare to be bored to death.

Yes, unfortunately, I started experiencing further crashes of the game soon after getting a working world, from my dwarves simply digging, it seems. Sadly, I think the modpack is rather too unstable for my tastes, at the moment. I'll have to go back to an earlier version.
When I tried to extract the downloaded file, Masterwork.exe was encrypted with a password. I have not seen anything about this mentioned anywhere, and I don't know why it works for other people but not me. The "Ye olde" version of masterwork extracted just fine and I can use that, but this version just won't work without an encryption password.
Where can i activate LAA, when i click on it in the utilities bar nothing happends, also i cant seem to find any LAA files in the utilities folder? help!
Sorry to disturb, I am having an issue.
The mod isn't working, I can launch the Masterwork.exe but can't seem to launch dwarf fortress it self, I have a 32 bit computer.

I have the same problem. Will there be a 32 bit version?
Defeated a Core Hound, and ended up with a set of Volcanic Plate Armor somehow... but it stabilizes in temperature at 10339U, which causes anyone who touches it to melt, essentially. Documentation doesn't really seem to cover this, so I assume it's a bug?

Yeah, there isn't gonna be a 32 bit version. Your best bet is to get a copy of 32-bit DF and transfer the files of Masterwork to it.
