Description
This world was genned in Dwarf Fortress 0.31.25

This embark is a 5x5 Embark, in a three-biome overlap. There is an aquifer stretching through I believe two of them, but the third, in the east-ish part is aquifer free (build based on whether or not you like aquifers).

It contains a freshwater stream, plentiful trees and shrubs and soil, fire clay, sand, iron ore (in abundance), flux (also in abundance), gold and galena (abundance, plus lead is a magma-safe, otherwise useless metal), bituminous coal near the surface (enough to tide you over until you hit magma) and more adamantine than microcline. It has a TON of gems to boot (just run reveal.exe and prospector from DFHack, you'll see).

Savagery was set to VERY HIGH, beasts to HIGH during world gen, with very short world history. There should be lots of nasty monsters and plenty of dangerous local wildlife to choose from. Part of the map freezes in winter (for those who like the snow and ice), part appears not to (for those who don't). Lots of surface soil and stone make it easy to start a fortress with farming AND stone quarters right away.

You have goblin, human, and elf neighbors. You'll get at least one group of invaders per year (just piss off the other two for more), and there are three cavern layers, so have fun with that too.

This is truly an excellent embark for any sort of fortress short of ones specifically meant to overcome a certain kind of challenge (like glaciers and sandy deserts, that sort of thing).

If you're a newbie, you'll find the variety, flora and fauna, and natural wealth make it a very forgiving embark, with the potential to become frightening later on.

If you're an expert, you'll find it ideal for almost any megaproject or insane idea you can muster.

The site was already home to a quickly-abandoned minimal build. No digging or any work of any kind was done, the land is untouched. The only supplies brought were some copper and iron ores, and some fuel, seeds, things like that. Very little to clutter or upset your future plans. To find the site, simply Reclaim instead of starting a fresh fortress. This site is the ONLY abandoned fortress in the entire world, so just Reclaim the only available site, and you're there. No need to search for it.

Enjoy.

This is a cool map. :-D
It was pretty hard being attacked by enraged badger boars and goblins.
But this map is going to be hard later on, since I had three or four goblin ambushes, when it was winter.
Apart from that, I'll give 5/5 for a perfect map for me.
